You can request deletion of your Nudge account and the personal data associated with it at any time.
How to request account deletion
1. Direct in-app deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly through the Nudge mobile app:
- Open the Settings screen.
- Tap on Privacy & Data.
- Select Delete Account.
- Review the impact and tap Delete Account to confirm.
2. Email request
If you cannot access the app, you can send an email to privacy@nudgeworks.app. Please include the email address associated with your account.
What happens after you request deletion?
To protect you from accidental data loss and comply with GDPR safety standards, Nudge uses a 30-day recovery window:
- Immediate Hiding: Once you confirm deletion, your profile is hidden, and you are signed out of all devices.
- Grace Period: Your data is held securely for 30 days. If you change your mind, simply log back into the app within this period to instantly cancel the deletion.
- Permanent Purge: After 30 days, your account and associated personal data (including spaces where you are the only member and task photos) are permanently removed from our active databases.
What we delete
We delete personal data tied to your account, such as your account record, membership information, and app-related identifiers used for notifications.
Timeline
Permanent deletion occurs automatically 30 days after your request. Some information may be retained longer for legal or accounting obligations (such as tax records), as described in our Privacy Policy.
